Yulia Klymenko

(registered psychotherapist of the Ukrainian and British Association of Psychodrama Therapists)

When I signed up for this course, I was very impressed by Sergei Forkosh's previous course, "Introduction to Phenomenology," and was very interested in how to develop the ideas of phenomenology in the field of mental research. I will say right away that my expectations were fully met, the course had a huge impact on me and significantly expanded my understanding of the application of phenomenological analysis of mental phenomena in my psychotherapeutic practice. I sincerely admire the skill of Sergei Forkosh, who managed to skillfully reveal the essence of various mental phenomena during the course, without focusing on the transcendental aspect of phenomenological research, and at the same time carrying out this analysis exhaustively and comprehensively. In the introductory part of the course, the disclosure of the phenomenon of the world as a kind of horizon of meanings for other phenomena was of particular value to me. This gave me the opportunity to take a qualitatively different phenomenological look at everything that surrounds me. In the main part of the course, I am especially grateful to Sergey for revealing the phenomenon of Fear, which in addition to a deeper understanding of this phenomenon, also had a certain therapeutic effect on me and I was able to more deeply understand some of my fears.
The most valuable feature of this course for me was the opportunity to be present in real time at the moment of Sergey's phenomenological research, thereby feeling and absorbing the very atmosphere in which it unfolded, observing the living flow of the master's thoughts. This significantly enriched me as a person who himself is trying to apply the phenomenological approach in practice.
Sergey, I express my endless gratitude to you for your sincere and genuine desire to convey your experience, as well as for your warm, sincere and deeply human attitude towards your students and for the opportunity to be involved in living philosophizing.
With deep respect, Konstantin Krulenko.
